Overview
THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission - To Serve Mankind - to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors\' Community, and Therapy.

Responsibilities
Casework - Engagement & Assessment
- Engage client and significant others (e.g. family, caregivers, etc.) in a therapeutic manner to understand their needs
- Manage and overcome reluctance and resistance to change
Casework - Case Review & Documentations
Implement and follow up on care / case plans and interventions to determine the suitability of care / case plans in addressing client\'s needs and modify them where necessaryDraft social reports for complex cases to be reviewed by supervisorCasework - Goal Setting & Intervention Plans
Conceptualise and identify appropriate approaches to develop care / case plan for clientHelp clients to develop and choose strategies and formulate viable plansRepresent case in case conferenceGroup Work
Target and reach out to individuals and / or targeted groups who may benefit from group work conducted by organisations / agenciesPlan, implement, monitor, evaluate and modify therapeutic group work to address issues of target groupsFacilitate high risk therapeutic group work under supervisionCommunity Work
Conduct environmental scans and assess community needsDesign, develop and implement community-specific development programmes (e.g. aging community in a specific neighbourhood)Participate in community development initiatives and provide recommendations for considerationProfessional Development & Education

Possess a Master\'s Degree in Counselling from esteemed institutions recognized by the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board (SWAAB) of Singapore.Demonstrate maturity, independence, creative thinking, and flexibility to inspire and motivate colleagues.Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with individuals and groups.Display a profound understanding of diverse cultures and races.Showcase patience, compassion, passion, and unwavering commitment to family services.Other Information
