OverviewFinance Business Partner – FMCG role at DKSH in Auckland.
Reporting to the Director, Finance NZ, this is a permanent, hands-on position working with the Head of Business Unit and key stakeholders to drive financial performance, provide strategic insight, and enable informed business decisions across a portfolio of market-leading brands.ResponsibilitiesAct as the financial lead for the FMCG division, partnering with commercial leaders to shape business strategy and execution.Translate financial data into meaningful commercial insights, helping to optimise sales, trade spend, and pricing strategies.Provide financial leadership in key decisions including contract renewals, brand negotiations, and new client onboarding.Lead the annual budget process and rolling forecasts for the FMCG Business Unit, ensuring alignment with commercial targets and growth plans.Deliver insightful monthly performance reviews, highlighting key trends and providing clear recommendations to management.Build and maintain full client and customer P&L models, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and relevance.Analyse profitability by brand, customer, and channel, identifying areas for growth or efficiency gains.Track and report on advertising and promotional (A&P) investment, working closely with marketing to measure ROI.Maintain reconciliations for key customer claims and deductions, ensuring trade spend integrity.Support financial evaluations for business development opportunities, including scenario modelling and margin analysis.Assist with financial due diligence and integration activities related to M&A projects or commercial partnerships.Contribute to building compelling business cases for route-to-market changes, product launches, or strategic investments.Champion continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting accuracy, and planning processes.Collaborate with global and regional finance teams to ensure consistency and compliance in reporting and analysis.Work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Marketing to embed financial discipline into business planning.What You'll BringTertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.Minimum of 8 years' experience in commercial finance roles in medium to large, complex organisations, preferably within FMCG or consumer goods.Strong business partnering skills with a commercial, growth mindset.Ability to synthesise complex data into insightful, actionable recommendations.Experience managing and delivering financial and commercial projects.Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with SAP FI / CO (desirable).
