Fast Food Cook wanted

We are a busy bakery & café shop located in Putaruru, Waikato, open 7 days a week.

We now require 1 full-time permanent Fast-Food Cook to join in our team.

We offer at least 30 hours per week and maximum will be 40 hours per week, shifts from Monday to Sunday according to roster between 4 : 00 AM to 5 : 00PM, and our pay range is from $25 / hour to $30 / hours depending on your learning abilities.

You will need to be able to work independently and effectively.

Role and responsibilities :

• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
• Cutting, washing, peeling, mixing raw food material
• Measuring and combining ingredients and raw materials using hands / hand tools to make fillings, doughs, buns, rolls and other pastry foods
• Preparing and cooking food using grills, microwaves, deep fryers, oven, steamers, and other cooking equipment
• Cleaning up kitchen benches, cooking surfaces, and other cooking appliances
• Ordering kitchen supplies and other food and ingredients when required
• Taking food supplies delivery and checking the quality and quantity
• Helping with front of house work when required in delivering customer services such as greeting customers, taking orders in person or via phone, cash handling, operating Eftops, and arranging food delivery to customers
• Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils
• Adhered to all hygiene & health and safety rules and our restaurant regulations

No prior work experience is required for this role but could be an advantage.

Priority will be given to local NZ residence / citizens.
