- Achievement of budgeted room revenue, ADR, and RevPAR .
- Growth of market share within key segments (corporate, leisure, groups, MICE).
- Increased contribution from new business accounts and expansion of existing key accounts.
- Consistently accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts .
- Positive client satisfaction feedback and strong repeat business levels.
- High levels of team engagement, retention, and performance within the Sales department.
- Effective collaboration with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to deliver integrated results.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Sales
Develop and execute proactive sales strategies to drive occupancy, M&E, and F&B revenue.Identify new business opportunities across corporate, leisure, and MICE segments.Manage key accounts and maintain excellent client relationships through regular engagement and personalized service.Negotiate and close contracts with clients, agents, and event organizers to achieve revenue targets.Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports.Meetings & Events (M&E)
Lead the Meetings & Events function, from inquiry to execution, ensuring flawless coordination between clients and operations teams.Conduct site inspections, create detailed event proposals, and manage post-event feedback to drive repeat business.Collaborate with F&B, Front Office, and Operations teams to ensure smooth event delivery and client satisfaction.Administration & Reporting
Oversee administrative processes within the Sales department, including reporting, database management, and forecasting.Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, contracts, and follow-ups in the CRM system.Support budgeting, rate setting, and promotional planning in collaboration with the Director of Sales.REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2–4 years of proven experience in a business development, sales, or account management role, ideally within the hospitality, events, or related service-driven industries. Experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment is advantageous but not essential.Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets, developing new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth across Meetings & Events, Corporate, Leisure, and Entertainment segments.Strong understanding of New Zealand market dynamics and segmentation, with the ability to identify and capitalise on local, regional and international business opportunities.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and build long-term client relationships.Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.Familiarity with CRM and hotel sales systems such as Opera, Delphi, or Salesforce is preferred but not mandatory.Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally as required for client meetings, networking, and business development activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
