Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Receptionist in a Diplomatic Mission in Wellington.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the front desk and serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers.
Handle telephone and email inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings.
Assist in general administrative tasks, including document handling, filing, and correspondence.
Provide support for consular and diplomatic events as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of a high school diploma; additional qualifications in office administration or a related field will be an advantage.
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Strong interpersonal / public relations skills
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a diplomatic environment.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position on a three-year contract and based at the Embassy premises in Wellington CBD.
Salary scale assigned NZD 4,150 per month
