We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist who will be an integral part of our multi-functional teams who work together with our world class Ophthalmologists to provide exceptional care to our patients.

This role will be based in our Whangarei site in Kamo.

The role is 20 hours per week, to be worked Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as per the roster.

Ideally you will also be able to flex up in hours / days as required, from time to time, to cover leave when needed.

Duties will include :

Ensuring our patients have a positive experience

Patient bookings for clinic, surgery and post operative care

Processing payments and supporting patients with the claiming process with their insurer

Collaboration with our cross-functional teams to optimise the patient experience and services

Responding to general phone and email queries

Processing referrals and collating patient information

Managing and handling patient files and interactions to ensure a seamless experience for our patients and our team

We are seeking someone who :

Has a high level of commitment to deliver an exceptional customer service experience for our patients and stakeholders

Prides themselves on their organisation skills, accuracy and attention to detail

Has previous secretarial experience in the private healthcare setting and an understanding of medical terminology

Enjoys learning and taking ownership for problem solving

Is confident to provide a high level of support and communication to customers from all walks of life

Is a strong team player and values collaboration while also being confident to work autonomously

Is genuine, approachable and enjoys interacting and helping others

Thrives in a multi-tasking environment and takes pride in everything they do everyday

Can demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to seek out opportunities to make a positive difference to our patients and our business
