- We are looking for a professional and welcoming Receptionistto join our team in Ngakawau.
As the first point of contact for patients,whanau, and visitors, you'll play a vital role in ensuring people receiveefficient and appropriate access to health services.

What you'll be doingProviding a warm, professional welcome to patients and visitors, both in-person and over the phoneManaging the enrolment process, ensuring patient information is accurate and up to dateSupporting financial processes, including receipting payments, invoicing, balancing, and bankingAssisting with clinic administration including appointment bookings, scanning, filing, and correspondenceMaintaining tidy and welcoming waiting areas, supporting patients in distress, and assisting clinical staff as neededSupporting the smooth daily operation of the clinic and reception, including rostering cover and ordering suppliesUpholding patient confidentiality and ensuring cultural sensitivity in all interactionsAbout youEssentialA positive, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong time management, problem-solving, and organisational abilitiesAbility to prioritise workloads, work independently, and use initiativeCommitment to cultural safety and an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principlesExperience in customer service or administrationProficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence learning new systemsClean driver's licenceDesirablePrevious experience in a health settingKnowledge of medical terminology and patient management systemsFamiliarity with hospital systems such as Indici, SAP, or Health Connect SouthWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.We embrace a workforce thatis diverse and inclusive so that we are better positioned to understand andservice our community
