We're in the middle of an exciting business transformation journey at MAS so we can work smarter and deliver better results to our Members.The Test Lead will lead and be accountable for the test effort on a large workstream pivotal to the successful delivery of the Elevate Programme.
The focus will be on Test activities and being an advocate for quality through all stages of the Delivery process.
The Test Lead will also be required to partner closely with our external vendor that will be delivering multiple insurance Policy Administration System modules into MAS, so as well as test planning, preparation and execution activities, this role will have a test oversight and organisation component and be required to have oversight of the Vendor test deliverables.If you have solid experience navigating the shift from Project build to operational readiness and support and are looking to be part of a large transformation, we'd love to hear from you.This is a 12-month fixed term contract position.What your day might look likeCo-create, own, plan, manage and report on the Workstream Test Strategy and deliveryEnsure Test Artefacts and Deliverables produced are high quality, agreed with the correct stakeholders and are produced in a timely mannerPlan the testing of iterative deployments of functionality on a complex multi-stream project using a hybrid delivery approach, and to pivot and adapt the approach and schedule based on fast moving outcomesDeal with unexpected issues and blockers and change approach when needed, providing guidance to wider stakeholdersAdvocate for quality and testing standards in delivery planning, ensuring testing is integrated seamlessly into the Delivery Life Cycle across Vendor and MAS phases and activitiesWhat we're looking forAbility to design comprehensive test strategies aligned with project and business goalsProficiency with Delivery and Collaboration Tools (ie Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence)Experience in test delivery across multiple delivery methodologies strongly preferred (Hybrid, Agile, Waterfall)Analyse complex issues logically and systematically and make sound decisions and recommendations under pressure5+ years' experience in a Test Leadership role on complex Technical programmeExperience in client-side acceptance of Vendor delivery strongly preferredKnowledge of insurance industry and / or Policy Administration Systems is preferredAbout usWe're a New Zealand-owned insurance and investment company with a difference.
