About The Role

Contract Test Lead – Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).

We're looking for an experienced Test Lead to join a high-profile programme on a contract basis.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives taking ownership, leading testing activities, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders — from engineers through to business users.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead process and procedure testing using workflows provided by the Lead BA

Create and manage run-sheets detailing pre-requisites, role access, testing order, user involvement, and environment setup

Coordinate and execute tests, managing observations and defects with the BA and wider teams

Produce comprehensive test summaries and reports, ensuring clarity and consistency across stakeholders

Lead Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) activities, including :

Designing service management test scenarios in collaboration with business users

Preparing users and systems for OAT testing

Coordinating with broader teams, including frontline users, dispatchers, and engineers

Running smoke tests, managing defects, retesting, and reporting test status

What we're Looking for

Proven experience in OAT testing

Strong background in systemic testing processes and procedures

ITIL certification and understanding of service management processes

Exceptional leadership and self-management skills

Excellent communication skills — confident, approachable, and able to work effectively with all parts of the business

Known for being rigorous and thorough in documentation, test execution, defect management, and reporting

Experience engaging directly with users and stakeholders, demonstrating patience and professionalism
