You'll lead with purpose—fostering a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.This role involves regular domestic travel across New Zealand, supporting key stakeholders and projects in various regions.
In addition, occasional international travel is required to attend Group Home Builder conferences, representing the business and engaging with global partners.Duties include but are not limited to : Sales Strategy & Growth : Define and execute a national sales vision that delivers consistent revenue growth across residential and commercial segments.Customer Engagement & Partnerships : Champion strategic partnerships—particularly with Group Home Builders—and foster deep market relationships to enhance profitability and brand presence.Market Intelligence & Insights : Leverage data analytics and BI tools to guide pricing, product positioning and executive decision-making.Sales Enablement : Drive go-to-market campaigns, enablement programs and marketing initiatives that align with product launches and conversion strategies.Team Leadership : Lead Account Management and Customer Service teams, setting clear KPIs, driving performance, and fostering a customer-first culture.Brand Representation : Act as a national ambassador for Brickworks NZ, attending industry events and building influential relationships to unlock growth opportunities.Financial Stewardship : Govern national sales and expense budgets, optimise product mix and pricing strategies and embed financial discipline across operations.Operational Excellence : Influence national business strategy, implement workforce planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Safety & Compliance : Ensure WHS / OHS policies are followed, risks are managed and a culture of safety is embedded across all teams.Success Requirements10+ years in sales, commercial, or business development roles, with 5+ years in senior leadership.Proven track record in strategic sales, market growth, and key account management—ideally in construction or building materials.Strong financial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, and margin improvement.Open to regular domestic and occasional international travel as required by the roleExperience leading CRM and business system transformations.Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or Commerce (MBA preferred).
