Team Administrator

As part of the newly established FTA Boost Unit, you'll play a key role in supporting the team driving this initiative.

We're looking for a proactive and organised Team Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our Trade and Economic Group.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

Coordinating office systems, resources, and equipment to support the Group's work

Supporting managers with finance, audit, information, and security responsibilities

Organising meetings, workshops, functions, and training events

Managing recruitment and onboarding processes

Assisting with budget forecasting and monitoring

Remuneration

The appointing range for this role is between $58,924 to midpoint of $65,471 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution.

Appointment within this range will depend on your level of experience.

Requirements and Qualifications

Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills

Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities

Planning and organisation skills, with a proactive mindset

Flexibility and adaptability in a reactive environment

Confidence using the Microsoft Office suite

Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi / Te Tiriti, Te Reo Maori and Maori customs and protocols would be beneficial

To be considered for this position at MFAT you must be a NZ citizen, or Permanent Resident.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential security clearance.

Ordinarily, to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have sufficient checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken.
