The role consists of :
The multidisciplinary team is made up of Nurses, Social workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Psychiatrists.
The team culture is nurturing, and supportive of active learning, both practically and academically.
We are solution focused, working in collaboration with our Paediatric Colleagues, Child Development Service, Child Health Integrated Response Pathway (CHIRP) and our community.This is an exciting time to join this team as we are forming an integrated approach to meet the community's needs.
Our team is committed to implementing high standard models of therapeutic treatment, as well as the necessary training and ongoing supervision that such pathways require.This is a permanent, 0.8 FTE position (32 hours per week).
The Bay of Plenty Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service have made a commitment to evidence-based practice.
The ability to work as an effective team member and demonstrate strong communication is essential to this position.
You will need to have a calm and empathic approach, flexibility, and creativity in your care approach.To be successful in this role you will be a Registered Mental Health Professional who has experience and skills working with clients and whanau between the ages of 0 - 12 years.
You will have experience and knowledge around family systems along with a broad range of challenges, difficulties and distress associated with children and young people presenting acutely.You will also need :
