What you will be doingAs part of our Aeronautical Infrastructure Planning Team and Reporting to the Head of Aeronautical Infrastructure you will be supporting and undertaking data analysis and planning studies to inform the long-term plan of Auckland Airport, you will also facilitate the delivery of high-quality planning studies by external consultants, providing planning data and inputs, assisting in the review of their outputs, and engaging them for smaller studies.Your key responsibilities are : Supporting the delivery of a variety of projects including master plan, airport facility planning.
Support capacity and demand analysis and simulation modelling to support the medium- and long-term plan of Auckland AirportGet involved in the liaison with project stakeholders, helping in preparing documents, report, presentationsDevelop terminal and airfield spatial requirements and create phased development plans for infrastructure and facilities.Generate terminal planning concepts and assess pax / good flows to improve designsEnsure that any project / programme is aligned with master plan capital plan, company strategy, reflecting an enterprise viewAnalyse growth forecasts and their implications for the future design, location, capacity, and scalability of airport assetsWork closely with operations to ensure that the planning matches the desired expectationProvide input into the Auckland Airport's strategy, 30-year master plan and Aeronautical Capital Plan, ensuring the phased implementation of master plan recommendations, coordinating with project management teamsCollaborate with and learn from other disciplines in our strategic team, including surface access, capital planning, sustainability and environmentMonitor regulatory changes and international best practices (e.g., ICAO, IATA) to integrate into master planning efforts and update as neededRole model Auckland Airport's commitment to "People First" Health, Safety & Wellbeing approachWhat you'll bring to the roleAt Auckland Airport, we are a busy hive of activity, and a lot of what we look for is how you would align with our AKL values All In | Tatou tatou - How we feel, Know How | Kokiri Tahi - How we think and Let's Go | Karawhiua - How we act.To ensure your success in this role, you will need : 2-5 years of airport planning experienceA degree in aeronautical engineering, civil engineering, air transport management, or airport planning is desirableRelevant experience in the aviation industry, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent transferrable skills from another relevant industry.Understanding of IATA-ADRM, ICAO, standards and recommended practices including experience in their interpretationExcellent written communication and attention to detail, being able to produce / review technical drawings and professional reports.You are a team player who is able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
