You will have a proven track record in accurate, professional planning services and advice, and the ability to provide excellent planning support to Stantec's full range of internal professionals and external clients.
Identifying opportunities and supporting business development in planning and resource management is an exciting part of the role, as is being part of a talented team of motivated professionals delivering top planning services across the country.In more detail the role involves : Working with project teams to prepare statutory planning applications for a range of activities and projects, including evidence for hearings.
There will also be opportunities to lead project delivery.Undertaking a wide variety of Planning work across the country.
Our clients include local and central government, corporates, land developers and industry, giving you a wide range of opportunities to learn from and to grow your Planning career.Participating in and / or leading community and stakeholder consultation and engagement for planning projects, alongside our fantastic team of Communications and Engagement professionals.Supporting or helping to develop new business opportunities for Stantec and being part of winning exciting, challenging and career-building planning work.To be successful in this role you will needA relevant tertiary qualification in Planning or a related fieldMembership of (or eligibility to join) the NZPIBroad professional planning experience of at least three years or moreA great attitude, a dose of 'can do', and the ability to build and maintain effective relationshipsEstablishing networks and / or business development skills, or the willingness to learnEffective communication skills and a creative approach to problem solving and relationship-buildingWell-developed ability to interpret national, regional and district planning documents, and a willingness to stay on top of changes and evolve.A positive approach to life, people, fun and opportunity!
