We are looking for a Senior Transport Planner for a two-year period to help deliver Comprehensive Parking Management Plans (CPMP) across Auckland in our Integrated Network Planning team.
CPMPs are detailed parking plans developed for a specific location.
They provide a thorough assessment of the parking environment in areas planned for parking management intervention.
Key Tasks :
Delivering the CPMP work programme
Managing consultants to ensure quality outputs are delivered
Lead consultation with community, local boards and business associations
Produce content for AT's transport plans
Lead the development of specific projects
Work to gain understanding and buy-in for our plans
Provide high-quality transport advice to decision-makers
Model key behaviours, including responsiveness, critical thinking, and use of evidence
Support the leadership of the team and group
Raise the profile of the team and group
Develop and maintain effective relationships within AT and with key partners
Respond to key stakeholder inquiries and engage proactively with stakeholders
Relevant degree in urban planning, civil engineering / transport engineering and or post graduate qualifications
Minimum of five years' experience in transport planning or engineering or similar roles
Experience across transport planning, including some public sector experience, preferably in transport planning or related area.
Experience engaging and partnering with stakeholders in central and local government
Experience with project evaluation, including economic evaluation and business cases
Geographic Information System Skills are desirable
