• The People, Health and Safety Team provides strategic leadership in the key practice areas of internal Health and Safety and human resources management, which includes remuneration and rewards strategy, performance management and employment relations.

We are responsible for strategy, delivery and implementation and providing advice, coaching and mentoring for managers about all people matters in these areas.Our team also works collaboratively with the Recruitment and Workforce Planning, Culture and Capability and Te Korowai teams to lead and operationalise key pieces of work in support of Maritime NZ's organisational strategy, Te Korowai o Kaitiakitanga' (The Cloak of Stewardship).

The role provides a critical two-way conduit between our people teams and managers throughout the rest of Maritime NZ.

Primary responsibilities include :

You will be a natural collaborator with particular strengths in building relationships, influencing and partnering with organisation leaders.

The role requires a proactive, pragmatic Business Partner who enjoys finding solutions on behalf of stakeholders and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
