## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this roleThe Director, People & Capability leads the Ministry for Pacific Peoples' P&C Team and ensures the successful development and delivery of the Ministry's People Strategy. The Director, People & Capability will have strategic, leadership and operational accountabilities.The salary range for this role is $129,535 to $194,303 (midpoint $161,919). Starting salary will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role.

- Strong People Leadership and Stakeholder Management –
- Driving the tactical work programme and People Strategy; managing a team of four and building bench-strength and resilience to future-proof the team.
- Solid understanding of the Machinery of Government –
- to work closely with other government agencies on aspects of Health and Safety Leadership, Remuneration, Employment Policy, and Leadership.
- Proven experience working in Change Management
- in complex environments with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, parties, and navigate organisational change through various phases.
- Proven experience in Employment Law and Industrial Relations –
- with the ability to drive initiatives, advice and guidance to key stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of Pacific cultures and experiences -
