Head of Major Events – Tataki Auckland Unlimited
Fixed-term, full-time opportunity leading a high-performing team to deliver Auckland's Major Events strategy and a world-class events portfolio, contributing to Auckland's visitor economy and global reputation.
Responsibilities
Lead a high-performing team to promote and deliver a world-class events portfolio.
Deliver Auckland's Major Events strategy in partnership with the major events sector and multiple public entities.
Champion and attract investment in major events; manage stakeholder relationships, governance, partnerships, community engagement and compliance.
Drive the strategic development, attraction and delivery of key anchor events for the region.
Qualifications
Proven experience in managing large-scale events with stakeholder management, governance, partnerships, community engagement and compliance.
Proven success in developing and leading high-performing teams.
High level of commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
Experience in both public and private sectors.
Ability to navigate the complexities of major event investment and delivery.
Resilience, positivity and ability to maintain composure under pressure and scrutiny.
Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to lead and influence across all levels internally and externally.
