We're seeking an experienced Specification Representative to join our National Specification Team.
Based in Auckland and reporting to the Group Key Accounts / New Business Manager, you'll build and maintain customer and client relationships while working proactively with our Account and Category Managers, other Specification Representatives, specifiers and allied partners to identify and secure areas for new business growth.
You will be very familiar with interior products and have established networks among the architecture and design community, to ensure our products are considered as a first option for their projects.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products are specified for both residential and commercial projects, leading to revenue and market share growth for the business.
Responsibilities
Driving specification by building and maintaining excellent, long-term relationships with architects and designers.
Proactively manage your pipeline and project portfolio through specification, conversion, completion and hitting revenue targets.
Deliver professional, knowledgeable and influencing presentations to secure business.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge to key stakeholders.
Work across the business, forming solid, collaborative and constructive relationships with Account Managers, Sales Managers, other Specification Representatives and Primary Demand Representatives.
Identify and secure new business opportunities while still ensuring growth from existing business.
Requirements
A tertiary qualification (desirable).
An existing network of specifier / industry contacts in the design / interior industry (desirable).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales focused role in the construction / interiors sector, preferably associated with furniture or joinery industries.
Strong business acumen.
Excellent presentation & communication skills with a strong ability to influence.
Be results driven.
Ability to self-motivate and self-manage on a day-to-day basis.
