About the Role

Are you detail-oriented, curious, and ready to make a real difference in healthcare? We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our Clinical Coding team in Wellington as Trainee Clinical Coders.

As part of a tertiary-level facility, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of general specialties, as well as advanced services including oncology, cardiothoracic, vascular, and neurosurgery. It’s a rare opportunity to develop your skills in a diverse and specialised healthcare environment.

You will be primarily based at Wellington Regional Hospital but may be required to work / train at Hutt Valley Hospital on occasion. The salary for this position is $76,694.

About the Team

You will be working in a team of clinical coders processing approximately 75,000 inpatient events per year. Our team are committed to meeting reporting deadlines whilst providing quality coding, therefore it is very important to us that applicants have a proven history of commitment to teamwork, using their initiative and can produce work with a high level of accuracy.
