Au Mahi | What You Will Do
As the Grievance Coordinator, you will provide expert advice and administrative support for academic grievances, appeals, complaints, and misconduct matters.
You'll guide students and staff through processes for resolving concerns, ensuring fairness, consistency, and timeliness.
Working closely with Proctors, the Chair of the Misconduct Committee, and academic governance staff, you'll manage case documentation, coordinate hearings, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that uphold academic integrity and student wellbeing.
Mou | Who You Are
You will have a minimum of three years' relevant experience in the tertiary education or related sector and demonstrate the ability to manage complex cases with fairness, empathy, and sound judgement.
You will also bring :
Strong understanding of university structures, academic regulations, and policy frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, particularly in the interpretation and application of policy.
Proven organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
A collaborative and professional approach with excellent interpersonal skills.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)'s Office supports and provides overarching vision and leadership in the core academic mission of the University.
As a team, we work collaboratively and are skilled in creative thinking.
The Academic Quality team oversees academic regulations, policy, programme approvals, academic processes, quality assurance, and the Erskine Programme.
The Records team oversees the academic requirements of graduation, the ordering of transcripts and letters and all aspects of the special considerations process.
