In This Role You’ll
- Provide specialist technical analysis and develop alternative approaches to complex / high risk issues.
- Manage day-to-day communications and serve as the single point of contact for compliance with our largest customers.
- Build in-depth understanding of consent conditions, obligations, key contacts and history.
- Coach and mentor compliance monitoring and enforcement staff to grow knowledge and skills.
- Work with customers to ensure standards of good regulatory practices.
Qualifications
Minimum ten years in an environmental regulatory implementation role related to compliance functions.Deep knowledge of Resource Management Act and its implementation; experience with resource management plans.In-depth knowledge of Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, Natural Built Environment Act 2023, and other relevant legislation.Experience in leadership or project management over operations, planning, resource allocation and coordination.Highly effective at operating within political, community focused, democratic, local government or public processes.Effective customer and stakeholder engagement and communication with a diverse range of people.Location & Travel
Christchurch, New Zealand – occasional travel within the Canterbury region.
