Higgins has an opportunity for a Paving Manager to join the team based at our Mount Maunganui branch.
In this leadership role, you'll work closely with the Surfacing Manager, driving high-quality asphalt paving operations across the region.
Your expertise will shape the success of our projects, covering key aspects such as commercial performance, client relationships, work programming, budget management, procurement, and site operations.

What You'll Bring To The Role
8+ years Project Management experience with extensive Asphalt Paving knowledge
Be confident in managing complex projects and supporting operations with effective technical solutions
In-depth knowledge of aggregates, with a technical understanding of these materials and their applications
You will be confident leading a team of Project Managers, Engineers and QA Technicians.
Sound financial management, budget management and reporting capabilities
Excellent communication skills, you will be comfortable communicating at all levels including with Higgins senior leaders, clients and external stakeholders
Civil Engineering Degree or similar
Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and the knowledge to apply NZS3910 is desirable
Strong focus on health and safety not just your own but your colleagues and the public
