Senior Business Analyst - Infrastructure

What you will be doingThis role will be a technical business analyst, familiar with dealing with complex construction projects and will be responsible for working with designers and project team members to break down the project designs, programmes and separable packages to assist in determining Digital scope, budget and programme.The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with stakeholders to analyse construction designs to specify scope, develop technology scope, develop user requirements, develop scope through project change, and enable efficient planning through current planning data.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative, high-impact projects that shape the company's digital landscape.Your key responsibilities are : Lead the elicitation, documentation, and prioritisation of business requirements for high-impact digital projects across the Infrastructure domainInterpret construction drawings to develop scope quantities, cost estimation and capacity planning inputs.Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, identifying opportunities for process and technology transformation and efficiencySupport decision-making with data-driven recommendations and performance metricsCollaborate closely with infrastructure and digital teams to translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.

Ensure that proposed solutions are user-centric and aligned with business strategyAct as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, fostering effective communication and collaborationContribute to project governance and reportingSystem configuration such as flight information displays and passenger information screens.Actively contribute to the development of innovative approaches that enhance organizational capabilitiesWhat you'll bring to the roleAt Auckland Airport, we are a busy hive of activity, and a lot of what we look for is how you would align with our AKL values All In | Tatou tatou – How we feel, Know How | Kokiri Tahi – How we think and Let's Go | Karawhiua – How we act.To ensure your success in this role, you will need : 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on digital initiatives in constructionBachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similarExtensive knowledge of digital technologies, platforms, and trendsProven track record of successful project delivery and understanding of Project Management and software development principles and lifecyclesBusiness process modelling and workflow analysisExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levelsStrong meeting and workshop facilitation skillsExperience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and frameworksStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic and continuous improvement mindsetExcellent planning and organisation skills and solutions focussed approachInterest and experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve productivity and streamline business processes in processes is desirable.About usFrom the arrival of the Tainui Waka into the Manukau Harbour, Auckland Airport has always been a place of journeys.
