Senior Recruitment Consultant | Fred Recruitment
The Company
We’re working with an award-winning, family-owned NZ business with over 30 years of bringing joy to Kiwis with their premium FMCG product. Proudly Kiwi-made, their imaginative brands are inspired by fun, discovery and a passion for quality – creating smiles and memories with every taste!
At the heart of their success is a strong set of values, it’s about family and collaboration with a flat team structure and culture that encourages fresh thinking and open conversation. There’s no micromanaging here, people are trusted to do great work and support one another along the way, rolling up their sleeves when needed. With a product kiwis genuinely love and a team who value quality and know how to have fun, my client is all about growing together.
A newly created role, we’re on the hunt for an experienced FMCG Business Development Manager to help take their brand to even cooler places.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll hit the ground running, out in trade selling and building strong relationships with grocers, dairies, retail stores and key route trade customers. Confidently navigating everything from corner shops to supermarket buyers. You'll spot growth opportunities and take action, all while supporting the Managing Director and repping the brand at FMCG trade shows and managing grocery relays. While this is a North Island-focused role, you will spend the majority of your time calling on Auckland customers, with travel across other regions as needed. When you're not on the road, you'll be based at their North Shore HQ, working closely with the team in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
What Makes You Stand Out
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum 6-8 years Territory Sales Manager or Business Development Manager experience within a FMCG business. You would have cut your teeth in sales at a large FMCG company but also have experience selling for a smaller, family-owned business. Your ability to sell will be second to none and your down to earth nature means you can relate to a wide range of people. Whilst you know how to sell, you may even have more key account management skills with channel development experience.
