Senior Bid Manager

Fletcher Construction is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to join our Major Projects team based in Auckland.

Whether you're an experienced Bid Manager ready for your next challenge, or a Project Manager with a strong engineering background and a talent for navigating complex tenders, we want to hear from you.About the RoleAs a Senior Bid Manager, you'll lead major bids from strategy to submission, creating an environment where collaboration and innovation thrive.

You'll work closely with internal teams, clients (including NZTA), and partners to develop winning proposals that deliver real value.Leading bid strategy, planning, and execution across major infrastructure projects.Building and managing high-performing bid teams.Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and craft compelling solutions.Overseeing technical submissions, pricing strategies, and risk management.Managing internal governance and approval processes.Using tools like Prospect Manager to track opportunities and allocate resources.Navigating and managing collaborative procurement models such as Alliances, ECIs, and D&C Contracts to ensure strategic alignment and successful bid outcomesWhat you'll bring to the roleA Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or equivalent) – Chartered status (CP Eng) is a plus.10+ years' experience in engineering, construction, or design / build environments.Proven experience managing bids or complex projects, ideally with NZTA or similar clients.Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.Familiarity with collaborative procurement and interactive tendering processes.Why Join UsWork on iconic infrastructure projects across New ZealandBe part of a values-driven, supportive team cultureAccess to professional development and career growth opportunitiesCompetitive salary, benefits, and industry-leading parental leaveAbout UsWe pride ourselves on safely delivering a wide variety of construction and infrastructure projects for the people of New Zealand and the South Pacific.
