Our client, a stunning lake view restaurant situated in Wanaka, is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior CDP or Sous Chef to join their team

Senior CDP / Sous Chef

Our client, a stunning lake view restaurant situated in picturesque Wanaka, is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior CDP or Sous Chef to join their talented team.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join the evening team, working hours from 2pm to 11pm.
As a Senior CDP or Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in daily operations.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

Food preparation and presentation to the highest standard

Maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards

Stock control and ordering

Team leadership

Remuneration and Benefits

CDP : $30 per hour

Sous Chef : $34 per hour

Our client is happy to consider applicants from out of town. Accommodation is available in a shared flatting situation, which may be best suited to a single person.

Skills and Experience

Proven experience as a Senior CDP or Sous Chef in a similar environment

Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of current food trends

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Passion for food and commitment to excellence

Working right in New Zealand
