About : Based in beautiful Queenstown where fun and adventure exists all year round, Fergburger started as a hole in a wall down a hard to find alley in 2001. Our focus was on our customers and ensuring they have the best experience & providing the highest quality of food - something we still take pride in today. Fergburger proved to be extremely popular with the locals and tourists, so from 2011 Fergbaker was born and since then we have gone on to open two Mrs Ferg Gelateria stores, Ferg\'s Bar and mostly recently Fergbutcher. Ferg has become a must do when visiting Queenstown!

Fergbutcher is our newest business, based in Arrowtown. Fergbutcher provides meats for his brother and sister stores, for wholesale customers and is now open for retail AND we are very close to opening our Fergbutcher food truck!

Our food truck offers a range of gourmet sandwiches showcasing Fergbutcher\'s products, which is why we are seeking a chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our opening team!

About the Role :

You will prep ingredients, cook using grills and fryers and assemble our gourmet sandwiches in our new food truck!

Responsibilities :

• Monitoring the quality and presentation of all food leaving the grill station and ensure it is prepared and cooked to a high standard
• Have full menu knowledge
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen
• Operate grills and fryers efficiently and safely
• Ensure food is correctly stored and handled
• Working to advised food safety and hygiene standards and processes
• Be a positive team player and work with both Back and Front of house teams to ensure effective, efficient running of the kitchen
