Risk Targeting Analyst

Permanent Full-time position.
Salary range $85,537 - $101,911 + KiwiSaver and Wellness Benefits.
Responsibilities
Identify and analyse risk patterns and trends to inform targeting rules and operational advice.
Contribute to development of robust risk management strategies across the immigration system.
Provide high-quality analysis and insights to support case treatment and strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise immigration risk management and value opportunities.
Support development of tools and resources that enhance targeting effectiveness and system resilience.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience in analysing and interpreting data and intelligence to develop actionable insights.
Strong understanding of risk management principles and targeting approaches.
Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks across complex regulatory systems.
Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills, with ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in plain English.
Knowledge of immigration systems and tools (e.g., AMS, ADEPT, ATS-G or equivalents).
Experience modelling risk rule scenarios and assessing impacts.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Word, and Power BI.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Effective time and self-management, with ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with willingness to develop training capabilities.
Relevant tertiary qualification and / or extensive comparable experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances and Aviation Security clearance.
