At the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) | Te Pā Whakamarumaru, we are dedicated to our mission of keeping Aotearoa New Zealand and our people safe and secure. We collect, analyse and assess intelligence which enables us to provide advice and guidance to protect New Zealand from threats such as foreign interference, espionage and terrorism.

About the role

NZSIS has a statutory mandate to conduct security vetting in New Zealand on behalf of all government agencies. As a Vetting Analyst, you'll play a critical role in contributing to the security of New Zealand. Your day‑to‑day will involve conducting background investigations and assessing suitability for nominated government employees and contractors so they may hold a national security clearance.

This role will draw on your strong interpersonal skills and ability to gather and analyse information from multiple sources to make evidence‑backed assessments. You will also need to be discreet and demonstrate the ability to make assessments in a non‑judgemental manner.

Salary Band F $73,684 (90%) - $94,152 (115%)
