OverviewCommunity Support Worker — Central AucklandSpectrum Care is looking for energetic, compassionate individuals to join our Supported Independent Living team — helping people with disabilities live ordinary, extraordinary lives.Supported Independent Living (SIL) is about empowering adults with physical and intellectual disabilities to live in their own homes and be active members of their communities.
We provide tailored, one-on-one support that helps people build routines, develop life skills, and pursue personal goals — whether that's joining a local club, finding meaningful work, or simply enjoying a hobby.
Support is offered across a range of hours (6am-9pm, Monday to Sunday), and is shaped by each person\'s unique needs, interests, and aspirations.What you\'ll doAs a Community Support Worker, you\'ll provide one-on-one support to adults with physical and intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities.
Your work will be dynamic and person-led, shaped by each individual\'s goals, interests, and aspirations.
You\'ll help people : Explore hobbies and passions — from music and art to sports and animalsBuild daily routines that support independence and wellbeingConnect with local clubs, community spaces, and interest groupsStrengthen social confidence and relationshipsNavigate everyday tasks like personal care, household chores, and community outingsSupport hours range between 6am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday, with some flexibility to suit both staff and the people we support.You bring creativity, empathy, and a genuine love for people.
