Community Support Worker - North Auckland
Part Time, 13 hours per week.
Gulf Harbour, North Auckland location.
We provide support for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities in their own homes and in the community.
As a Community Support Worker, you assist with daily activities such as community participation, socialising, work or education, personal care, domestic chores, and reporting and administration.
Skills & Experience

Ability to remain calm in all situations.
Resilience to maintain safety boundaries.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Supportive communication with families, colleagues, and clients.
Ability to provide motivation with personal care and daily living skills.
Excellent, clear written and verbal English.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Interest in attaining a Community Support Worker Level Three or above qualification.
Experience supporting people with disabilities, mental health issues, or challenging behaviours is desirable.
Reliability, commitment, and passion for working with people.
A full New Zealand driver's licence.
Ability to pass a NZ police check.
Computer skills including Word, Internet Explorer, and email.
Requirements
Must have worked in the care workforce for 3 years or more with an appropriate wage rate, or hold a relevant NZQCF level 4 qualification.
