The Project Manager will manage and oversee a series of experimental projects on Artificial Intelligence (AI) from initiation to implementation, working with project teams of Mentors, Engineers and Apprentices, and in collaboration with Project Sponsors, to jointly design, develop and implement the AI solutions.
The Project Manager is required to plan, manage, execute and track the progress of the projects, to bring the projects to their successful and timely completionDuties & ResponsibilitieBe responsible for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, meeting requirements and within allocated budgetManage project lifecycle, from requirement, design, technical construction, testing, acceptance, training, documentation and implementation, in accordance with the AI Singapore Project Management and Delivery FrameworkWork closely with the Project Sponsors on the agreed project timeline and objectivesPlan, coordinate and communicate project plan, timeline and activities to the project team of Mentors, Engineers and ApprenticesMonitor and track progress of projects and stay on top of projects to ensure smooth executionManage and coordinate project deliverables, ensuring their quality and configuration managementAnalyse and highlight project risks and develop necessary risk mitigation plansAnalyse and highlight project dependencies to pre-empt project issuesOversee project team performance, provide guidance to address challenges, and resolve conflicts within the team.Manage customers' expectations by understanding customers' needs and providing realistic expectations and scope of projectsManage and work closely with 3rd-parties, if any, involved in projectsRegularly report project progress to the Head of Project Management and escalate unresolved issues at project team levelQualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalentCertified Project Manager, either CITPM or PMP certified, with at least 8 years of experience in IT, including 3 years of experience in managing IT projects and software / application development lifecyclesAt least 1 year of experience in Agile project management methodologyStrong delivery management experience, with proven track records in managing and steering projects towards smooth execution and on time deliveryStrong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects concurrentlyExperience in managing AI projects is preferredExperience in change management, issue management and configuration managementStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills, effective in fostering teamwork and managing high performance project teams
