The Opportunity

Downer is a leading provider of integrated services across New Zealand, with a strong presence in transport, utilities, and infrastructure. Our Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) division plays a key role in keeping people moving safely and efficiently by delivering and maintaining traffic signals, lighting, and advanced transport technologies.

We\'re seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our Queenstown team. In this key leadership role, you\'ll take charge of complex and rewarding projects that improve road safety and enhance community connectivity across the Otago region. You\'ll be leading a skilled crew of Supervising Electricians, Electricians, and Apprentices, guiding them to deliver high-quality electrical works across traffic signals, lighting, and intelligent transport systems.

This is a role where no two days are the same - from delivering new installations and upgrades to providing technical support on critical programmes like Milford Road avalanche control, you\'ll be at the heart of projects that make a tangible difference to the community. You\'ll also play a key part in expanding Downer\'s presence in Otago, working alongside senior leaders to identify growth opportunities and strengthen client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

This position requires flexibility, as some projects involve night shifts, weekend work, and travel outside the Queenstown area.
