OverviewMcConnell Dowell is looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead an upcoming major project in Papua New Guinea.
This is a pivotal role where you will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.As Project Manager, you will provide strong leadership to a diverse project team, manage client relationships, and maintain effective control over construction, scheduling, costs, safety, and environmental performance.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-value infrastructure project in one of the Pacific's most dynamic markets.ResponsibilitiesDeliver the project safely, on time, and within budget.Lead construction, scheduling, cost control, quality, and environmental management.Maintain strong and effective client relationships and represent McConnell Dowell with professionalism.Oversee subcontractor selection, procurement, and contract management.Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, permits, and HSEQ requirements.Manage risk, project financials, progress reporting, and performance reviews.Mentor and support key delivery personnel to create a high-performance team culture.Provide leadership in industrial relations and stakeholder engagement.Prepare and implement Project Execution, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans.About youTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).10+ years' experience managing large commercial construction projects ($15m+).
