Chef Manager - Db Breweries, Auckland

RoleWe have an opening for a Chef Manager at our busy café located in one of our Auckland Cafes.

Role detailsIn this role you will be a hands-on chef actively involved in the creating, cooking, and presentation of food, as well as the day-to-day running of the cafe.

Think tasty, simple meals that our customers can order and enjoy.

An understanding of what the customers crave will have you well on the road to success here.

Working hoursYour regular hours will be Monday to Friday, 6am – 2 : 30pm.

You must have great organizational and communication skills to manage and oversee the cafe even after your shift has finished.

Lead your team to get the job done well, challenge them to improve, as well as work together, value and support each other.

To top it off, you will need to be a whiz when it comes to admin, controlling food and labour costs, ordering and all things health and safety.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook, and serve a variety of cuisineMonitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentationCreate menus to cater for a varied clientele and dietary requirementsManage food and labour costs within budgetEnsure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards (MPI, HACCP, etc.)Collaborate with site management and clients to meet expectations and drive continuous improvementSupport catering for functions, special events, and promotions as requiredTake ownership of rostering, performance management, and training within the kitchen teamImplement New Zealand Food Control and Safety regulationsMaintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environmentDemonstrate great communication skills and moderate computer literacyShow a flexible, can-do, committed attitude
