The owners of the Mainsail Bar and Bistro, located in Whangaproa, are looking for two new Chefs for a newly acquired venue in the vicinity.Key duties will include :
planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
monitoring stock levels and ordering food supplies
making sure all dishes are prepared and presented to acceptable standards preparing and cooking food
explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
helping select and train staff
ensure foodstuffs are stored appropriately
Our ideal candidates will have :
At least 2-3 years of experience as a chef in a busy kitchen and either already experienced in the above tasks or ready to step up to the next level.
A level 4 professional cookery qualifiication may be taken in lieu of some or all of the work experience required.
A hardworking and "can do" attitude.
Starting pay for this position is between $29-$32 / hr, minimum
