OverviewMcConnell Dowell is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to support our Auckland Airport project.
This role is integral to maintaining robust financial systems and ensuring timely, accurate reporting across all aspects of project delivery.
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider finance team, you'll oversee cost reporting, forecasting, progress claims, and financial controls.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly cost reports and twelve-month cashflow forecastsSupport timely submission of monthly progress claims and input into WorkbenchReview and input budgets, subcontractor payments, and variationsProvide cost-to-complete reviews and risk assessments with the project teamForecast plant, labour, and material costs for self-perform packagesMaintain up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations and site ledgersManage project assets and maintain accurate registersLiaise between the project team and company finance functions to ensure accurate, on-time reportingAbout youMinimum 5 years' experience in financial or management accounting within the civil engineering industrySolid understanding of construction project financialsStrong analytical, numeracy, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced knowledge of accounting software and MS Office SuiteProven ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsDemonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to protecting company financial interestsAbout UsMcConnell Dowell – Creative Construction.
