Great events don’t just happen - they’re designed, crafted, and delivered by someone who loves creating memorable moments. If you’re that person, we’d love you to step into our Events Manager role.
We’re a locally owned hospitality group with a love for bold ideas, good food, and unforgettable experiences. Between Canyon Restaurant, The Boat Shed Café, Dishery, and beer events with Canyon Brewing, there’s always something happening.
As our Events Manager, you’ll be the person behind some of Queenstown’s most talked-about moments. One week you’re designing a lakeside celebration at The Boat Shed Café, the next you’re running a Paint and Sip at Dishery, then helping to pull together a festival pouring beers for hundreds. You’re the one who brings the people, the place, and the moment together and makes it unforgettable.
A week in the life :
No two weeks ever look the same. One day you’ll be sitting down with a client to lock in the details of their private function, the next you’re brainstorming a beer fest concept with the team. You’ll work alongside marketing to get the word out, line up contractors and suppliers to bring the vision to life, and then step onto the floor to run the event itself when needed - making sure every guest leaves raving about their experience. By the time the last glass is cleared and the pack-down is done, you’ll have already started dreaming up the next big thing.
What you’ll bring to the table :
Bonus points if you also :
What’s in it for you?
You’ll be at the heart of our events, shaping everything from small private functions to large-scale festivals. You’ll have the freedom to get creative, the support of a down-to-earth team, and the satisfaction of pulling off events that make people smile. Along the way, you’ll enjoy great staff perks and discounts, free health insurance (where eligible), and plenty of opportunities to grow and put your stamp on how Canyon shows up in the community.
