We have an exciting opportunity at our Finegand site for a motivated and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our large team.
Whether you are coming from a commercial background and looking to upskill into industrial or have industrial electrical expertise and are seeking the next step in your career, our largest site in the South Island offers a fantastic environment with a like-minded engineering team.This role is essential in providing electrical services, including the installation, maintenance, and reliability of industrial equipment, as well as project work both now and in the future.Previous experience in FMCG or transferrable processing environments would be advantageous.
The key qualities are the ability to work as part of a team, identify faults, and use analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver top-level service to the processing plant.
Good interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to think outside the box are essential.

You will have opportunities to be involved in projects and the installation of new site equipment, along with a wide range of electrical applications across the site.Relevant Trades Qualification and Full NZ EWRB Electrical registration.Strong knowledge of electrical principles, repairs, and maintenance procedures on a large industrial processing site.Experience with PLCs, VSDs, instrumentation, and control systems.Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions promptly, with good communication skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit engineering team.Organized, with the ability to plan and prioritize workload in a challenging environment, leading by example.A desire to learn and upskill, whether in leadership, refrigeration, or project design.Te Ahurea / Why work at Silver Fern Farms?
