Overview

Our Silver Fern Farms Finegand Processing Site in Balclutha employs 1200+ Team Members at the height of the season.

Located 30 minutes south of Milton, an hour east of Gore, and an hour south of Dunedin, with buses available from Dunedin to Finegand (Balclutha) for most shifts.

We are looking for expressions of interest to join the team when we commence our new season in October.

If you're ready to start earning and learning your way to a bright future we have various opportunities on offer, starting with entry-level jobs needing no experience, which can lead to career development opportunities into quality control, health and safety, leadership and beyond.

Te mahi, our working arrangements

Complete your on-the-job training and earn a minimum $28.82 / hr plus extras.

Usually, 40 hours per week during peak production season, plus overtime opportunities.

Minimum $43 / hr production overtime rate.

Evening shifts available, times may vary between 3.30pm – 12.30am

All work clothing and safety gear is provided.

No experience?

No problem, we provide all the training you need.

You're an active team member who attends work daily, can work closely with others, and brings a positive, hardworking attitude.

Able to understand and follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance requirements.

Eligible to work in New Zealand.

Must be 18 years or older to meet role requirements.

Able to pass our pre-employment medical checks, criminal convictions check, and physical fitness requirements.

Access to quality meat at mates' rates on-site to nourish you and your whanau.

On-the-job training and opportunities for career development.
