This role supports a comprehensive home visiting service that focuses on improving child health.Key accountabilitiesBuild sustained and trusting relationships with parents / caregivers, children and their families to support their needs, goals and aspirations.Provide comprehensive holistic wellbeing assessments.Provide intensive support and holistic intervention.Provide holistic social work support tailored to meet the needs of the family and child, ensuring wellbeing and safety for the family.Provide health education activities and support to increase health literacy and help seeking behaviours.Support parents to develop positive and healthy parenting skills, attachment and bonding.Key CompetenciesDegree in Social WorkExperience in Health sector beneficial but not essentialDemonstrate the ability to assess and make decisionsDemonstrate the ability to build and maintain relationships with whanau.Preference given to those who speak a Pacific language.
