Te Kowhiringa - The Opportunity
Our South Auckland-based service is seeking a talented and experienced
Counsellor
, ideally with a Social Work background, to join our team part-time.
This role involves engaging with children and their families to work towards positive and lasting changes in their lives.
This position is 30 hours per week.

A qualified Counsellor registered with NZAC
Familiar with strength-based practice principles
Competent in working with families affected by issues such as domestic violence and child abuse
Able to engage with families where safety concerns are present
Thrives in a busy, multi-disciplinary team environment
Enjoys facilitating groups
Demonstrates exemplary professional practice
Has experience working effectively with Maori families
Possesses outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent family support, assessment, and counselling abilities
