By applying to this role, you understand and agree that your information will be shared with the TELUS Group of Companies' Talent Acquisition team(s) and / or any leader(s) who will be part of the selection process.ResponsibilitiesProvide short-term counselling to a diverse set of clients dealing with various personal issues that may or may not be work-relatedEvaluate client needs and work with them to set objectives and develop a strategy to achieve them, within the terms and conditions of the client's EAPProvide excellent clinical services and embrace TELUS Health's culture of continuous learningManage the administrative requirements as dictated by TELUS Health clinical modelsQualificationsDegree in Counselling, Psychology, or Social WorkProfessional College membership or registration with a mental health associationMinimum five (5) years post-graduate counselling experience with multiple populationsAbility to set short term objectives and use a solution focused approachAbility to clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients who are a threat to self or othersAble to work with individuals, couples and families and good knowledge of community resourcesExcellent time-management skills with the ability to handle a large volume of clientsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be flexible to work days and evening shiftsEAP industry experience is an assetExceptional customer service focus, high professionalism and adherence to ethical principles of conductBasic knowledge of computer systems is an assetAbout UsWe're a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
