About the role :
As a result of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity available for a Construction Broker to join our National Specialism team—an industry leader in providing innovative insurance and risk management solutions for the construction sector.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Construction Broker to join our Auckland-led team.
In this role, you will work with a diverse portfolio of construction clients, guiding them through complex risks and ensuring they secure the coverage necessary for their success.
How you'll make an impact
Service Gallagher construction clients and support construction placements across Gallagher's branch network
Drive organic growth in the Gallagher Construction Insurance portfolio.
Identify opportunities for Gallagher to achieve uplift on its existing construction book
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all insurance companies operating in this space
Support upskilling of Gallagher branch colleagues in Construction insurance
Keep abreast of all new technical and market developments in the Construction Insurance area and effectively communicate these amongst the Gallagher network as appropriate
Assist in management of challenging Construction Insurance claims
Work within a global team of over 1000 dedicated construction specialists
Apply best business practice – ethically, professionally and with integrity in all circumstances so that Gallagher's reputation and brand is never undermined
Work within the construction team to facilitate product development and management
Skills and Experience
Technical product awareness in the Construction Insurance space
Experienced in dealing with complex issues
Proven strong performance track record
Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as within a team
Experience in developing new business opportunities
Good negotiation and relationship management skills
May hold relevant tertiary and / or postgraduate
Must have a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5)
