He oranga taiao, he oranga tangata.About the roleThe Department of Conservation have recently made some big changes to help our people and operations work better together—so we can achieve the conservation outcomes we're aiming for.As part of this, we've introduced a new role : Site Support Officer.
Reporting to the Operations Advisor or Regional Planning and Performance Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering essential administrative support to help ensure the efficient and safe functioning of DOC facilities across the region.The position will be focussed on : Supporting the Site Lead to ensure smooth and safe operation of DOC premises, acting as the main site contact for office and facility issuesBeing the go-to person for general office managementEnsuring DOC pool vehicles at site are fit for purpose and maintained as required (such as services and WOFs etc)Support key site health and safety tasks such as safety / fire drills, site inductions, regular checks and ACC safety auditsPlease note : This role is 0.5FTE.
