The role focuses on enhancing plant performance, reducing downtime, and delivering capital projects that support long-term growth.
It also plays a key part in fostering a culture of safety, wellbeing, and shared success.Key Responsibilities : Lead reliability-centred maintenance programs to improve uptime and equipment availabilityConduct root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actionsManage MEX (CMMS) for accurate data and reportingDeliver capital and plant improvement projects from concept to commissioningCollaborate with production, safety, and quality teams to align project scope with business needsManage contractors and ensure compliance with engineering standardsLead and develop a multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineersMonitor KPIs including OEE, downtime, and maintenance cost per unitDevelop asset strategies including spares and lifecycle planningEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standardsQualifications and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)7+ years in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments, with 3+ years in leadershipStrong knowledge of RCM, TPM, FMEA, and other reliability best practicesProven success in capital project delivery and engineering improvementProficiency in CMMS and maintenance analytics toolsPreferred : Experience in steel, metals processing, or surface coating industriesCertified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or CMRP accreditationFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six SigmaStrategic and analytical thinkingTechnical problem solvingStrong leadership and communicationResults-driven with a continuous improvement mindsetSafety-first approachWhy Join ColorCote® and Fletcher BuildingColorCote® is part of the Fletcher Building Group and has been a leader in pre-painted steel and aluminium roofing and cladding products in New Zealand since .
