Engineering Services Manager

The role

The Engineering Services Manager plays a key role in ensuring that Council's strategic direction is supported through efficient, effective, and sustainable management of engineering services functions, including roading, solid waste, and development engineering.

Key responsibilities include :

• Provide high-quality leadership for the engineering services team
• Establish and maintain a high-level collaborative approach with key stakeholders including internal, regional, and national agencies e.g. NZTA, Waikato Regional Council, Ministry for Environment etc.
• Pursue and secure internal and external funding for activities within the portfolio
• Provide technical and strategic advice for Council's engineering services and associated assets
• Engineer to Contract on operational and capital contracts
