As Engineering Manager, you'll shape the future of defence and commercial engineering in New Zealand.

You'll lead a high-performing team, foster a culture of inclusion and innovation, and build enduring relationships with key stakeholders across logistics command, capability branches, and the Ministry of Defence.

Your influence will extend across strategic planning, programme delivery, and design governance—ensuring projects are delivered with precision, quality, and purpose.

About you

You are a strategic engineering leader with deep experience in complex environments—marine, defence, or asset management.

You thrive on building high-performing teams, navigating ambiguity, and delivering results.

Your leadership is inclusive, your thinking is systemic, and your decisions are grounded in commercial acumen.

You're passionate about continuous improvement, coaching others, and shaping culture.

With a chartered engineering background and a strong grasp of governance, you're ready to lead transformational change and build enduring customer trust.

Key Required Qualifications

Degree in Engineering

Chartered Engineer status

Tertiary qualification in Management (highly desirable)

Significant in engineering leadership within defence, marine, or complex asset environments
