About The Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our seaside restaurant team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining creativity with precision, while ensuring guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
l Plan and design menus that balance creativity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
l Estimate food and labour costs, order supplies, and manage stock effectively.
l Monitor the quality, consistency, and presentation of dishes throughout preparation and service.
l Collaborate with Managers, Dietitians, and both kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
l Demonstrate cooking techniques, guide junior staff, and advise on best practices in food preparation.
l Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, maintaining both taste and presentation.
l Enforce strict hygiene and safety standards across all kitchen operations.
l Participate in staff selection, mentoring, and training to build a strong kitchen team.
l Support food preservation and storage processes when required.
l Other duties required by the employer
About you
l Culinary qualification OR
l 2 years proven work experience as a Chef
l strong culinary skills and passion for both classic and contemporary cuisine.
l Ability to lead by example, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
l Excellent knowledge of English language
l Communication and customer service skills
l Demonstrated team player with strong communication skills
l Positive attitude
l Must be keen to work on 7-day flexible roster shifts
